Apart from the 2 buildings, there is an adjacent buildable plot of land on the west side of the house which is an independently registered parcel on which a 3rd small house can be built or used to extend the main house in to a 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom, creating a large terrace with views to the coast and the estuary. The location: San Salvador de Priesca is a beautifully preserved hamlet in Villaviciosa with good roads and located right on the Camino de Santiago Norte. It’s also on the cultural heritage listing for the history of its well preserved pre-Romanesque Church of 921 and open in the summer evenings for pilgrims and the public to visit. This quaint neighborhood has a great atmosphere from May- October with some 100 registered inhabitants who keep their homes pristine with tidy gardens. The hamlet is surrounded by  forests of oaks, eucalyptus and even bamboo. Fruit trees are abundant. Next to the church there is a 20-Bed pilgrim hostel (Albergue) open from May to October creating a very good atmosphere. The Albergues are soon fully booked, therefore extra accommodation on the Camino is always good. Villaviciosa has a lot to offer -it is the main cider producing area-,  so pilgrims would like to stay a few days. In front of the church there is a little hall with public wifi used by the neighborhood association. There are several roads that reach Priesca, all very well tarmacked. The shortest road to the Villaviciosa main road is 3km and from there it connects with the amazing Playa de Rodiles and directly on to the motorway which is 10km from the house.
Communications/Connections: The public buses stop on the main road. There are many excursions that depart from the very entrance of the hamlet, on the Camino de Santiago itself, so you can walk to Colunga or to Villaviciosa (10km) Taxi’s from the town of Villaviciosa cost aproximately 25€
