The people we trust

Partners we introduce you to — and stay alongside you with.

Some parts of a move are not ours to do: moving your money, the law, tax, visas, insurance. For each we have one partner we trust, and we make the introduction personally. You hold your own account with them; we stay in the room.

Currency transfers for private clients

Moving money between your home country and Spain

Currency exchange is not something we do at Galicia & Green Spain, but it matters enormously to almost everyone we help relocate or buy here. So we have partnered with Forex Transfer, a currency specialist we trust, to look after our clients.

Whether you are buying or selling a property here, moving your savings over, receiving income from home or settling an inheritance, they help you transfer money simply, transparently and securely — with competitive rates, no payment fees and a real person to talk to who understands where you are in your move.

Forex Transfer is an independent partner, so you would hold your own account with them directly. We are happy to introduce you and stay alongside you through your move, with no cost or obligation.

How Forex can help in your situation

A few of the moments where the right currency partner makes all the difference.

You’ve found the house

The deposit is due. Instead of guessing what your bank will charge, you agree a rate in advance and send the money safely — knowing exactly how many euros land on the other side.

Selling up before the move

Your old home sells and suddenly there’s a large sum to bring over. They help you move it across calmly, at a good rate — and can hold it in a euro account in your name until you’re ready to use it.

Settling the kids into school

The international school invoice arrives each term in euros. You set up the payment once and it goes through quickly and on time.

Still earning in pounds or dollars

You’re freelancing or running your business from Spain, but clients still pay you in GBP or USD. Bring that income into euros with regular transfers.

Your pension, paid in euros

Your UK or US pension keeps arriving in its home currency. Have it converted and paid into your Spanish account each month — a steady, predictable income you can actually budget around.

Renting out the old place

You’ve kept your property back home and the rent rolls in each month. Collect it where it is and move it over to euros whenever the rate looks right.

Three simple ways to handle the rate

You do not need to be an expert. Forex will recommend the right one for you, in plain language.

Pay at today’s rate — “spot”The simplest option. You see today’s rate, you like it, and you send the money straight away. Ideal for a one-off payment when your funds are ready.
Lock in a rate now, pay later — “forward contract”Buying a home that completes in a few months? Fix today’s rate with a small deposit and pay the rest when it falls due. Your price stays the same even if the market moves.
Set your target rate — “market order”In no hurry? Tell Forex the rate you would like. They watch the market for you and make the transfer automatically the moment it reaches your number.

How an introduction works

Three simple steps, entirely at your pace.

1You let us knowSimply reply to say you are interested. No forms to fill in and no commitment.
2We introduce youWe connect you with our trusted contact at Forex Transfer, who will answer your questions in plain language.
3You decideIf it feels right, you open your account directly with them and we stay alongside you throughout your move.

We work as an affiliate of Forex Transfer and introduce clients from non-EUR countries. Rates and contracts are provided by the payments partner. Prefer to begin straight away? You can open your account with Forex Transfer at onboarding.paydirect.io.

Legal

Our property lawyer in Vigo

Every purchase we accompany runs through an independent lawyer, and the one our clients meet is María González Feijóo of Firma — Boutique Legal de Derecho Inmobiliario, a real-estate law practice in Vigo. She prepares the power of attorney, checks the title, and signs the arras and the deed on your behalf if you would rather not fly back for each appointment.

Her practice is hers, not ours: you instruct her directly and her fees are her own. We make the introduction and sit with you in the first meeting.

Specialist services

Tax, visas, health insurance — the experts in our network

Certain aspects of relocation — tax advice, fiscal representation, annual tax filings, visa applications and private health insurance — fall outside our own plans. They are essential, so we connect you with trusted specialists within our network who handle them, and we stay your point of contact while they do.
