The Estate altogether 5,3 hectares land on the real estate divided into several plots of which the biggest are around and near the house. The garden, a small vineyard (almost 0,4ha) and the fields around the house (in total 1,6 hec.) are fenced with old stonewalls. In the garden there are many kinds of fruit-trees (apple, fig, apricot, cherry, pear and nuts). There is also a vegetable garden with salads, tomatoes, pimientos, cucumbers and potatoes. The vineyard hasn’t been taken care of late, but it has been possible to get wine between 2000 – 3500 lit Per year. The vineyard has not had any chemical pesticides in over 5 years and is now ideal for an eco-vineyard. The grape belong to small Mencia wine area, which gains better price for the grapes if sold. Around the house there is about 1,2 ha land suitable for keeping animals and more than 1,25 ha really close by. There is a pasture land in the next village about 1 km away which has produced winter hay for two horses. The rest of the land is forest and the terraced old vineyard. I have here two horses, and in one of the plots there is an outdoor riding arena (about 18x35m) which is situated from 300 m from the house and shelter for the horses. It would be really easy to keep other animals  (sheep’s, goats, pigs, chickens…) Around and next to my farm it might be possible to purchase even more land if needed.

The Location: The natural Surroundings of the property make it very peaceful and beautiful. The soil here is very fertile – lots of oak and chestnut forests. There is also a house detached to the building project (second house) that is for sale separately by a different seller. Together with the building project and the main house, this third house would enable a large housing ensemble for example bed and breakfast lodging or guest House.

In the very village where the house is situated, there are couple more houses, but their owners don’t live there permanently. Even though the surrounding is quiet, the place is not isolated – a short walk (800 m) through the forest to the nearest grocery & bar (famous meat restaurant in the area). The closest village is Ferreira de Panton d (3 km) has a number of shops, bars, a spa and a golf course as well as many amenities and services and even more available in the bustling town of Monforte de Lemos is just 15km away. Nearby is the Cañons of the River Sil in the heart of the Ribeira Sacra and there is also a small river beach (Praia da Cova is 15-min drive), great for swimming, eating out and enjoying spectacular views.
