The Location: Tomiño is part of the region of the Baixo Miño. This region benefits from a wonderful microclimate! Tomiño is also very close to the river banks and beaches of the River Miño & Estuary. It is an extraordinary enclave on the border of Galicia, opposite Portugal, separated only by the River Miño. Due to its mild winters and comfortable warm summers, numerous vineyards can be found which grow the grape of rich white wines at the southern end of the Rías Baixas. Some of them are considered the best white wines in the world.
Tomiño is a tranquil up-and-coming area which offers a host of amenities (as well as access to fibre-optic internet) and all the services and activities you may require including shops, schools, restaurants and local festivals and a host of activities such as hiking and historic guided walks, just to name a few.
Close by is a large shopping complex, the beautiful historic town of Tui, and the city of Vigo is within easy reach via motorway.
The many Spectacular Beaches on the coast along the Val Miñor / Rias Baixas are just a short drive away.
TOMIÑO is also a stop off on the Camino De Santiago towards Santiago de Compostela and the End of the World at Finisterre.
Communications/Connections: The vibrant city of Vigo & its airport are 45 mins and the Historic City of Santiago de Compostela and its airport are only 1.5 hours away. Tomiño is also a neighbour to Portugal with its own culture, quaint historical villages, markets and cuisine. Its International Airport Porto is approximately 1.5 hours away.
