The hotel operates with a valid licence and can open straight away. The area is busy all year with active tourism: the International Descent of the Sella, mountain activities, canoeing, fishing, horse riding and cycling, with the Picos de Europa National Park and the Cantabrian coast at Ribadesella each about 20 minutes away. Fine restaurants nearby include the Michelin-starred Casa Marcial. Oviedo and Gijón are an hour away, Asturias airport 100 km and Santander 130 km.
